Halloween is such a fun time with the kids. We had a ball at Aunt Cindy's Halloween party, with all of Shane's family and then made it around our whole neighborhood for Trick or Treating after that. Amazingly, Shane told each of the kids to pick one candy to eat when we got home and they both did it. Noah picked M&M's and Bennett picked a granola bar (and he was so excited). Too funny! Then I asked Bennett if I could have a piece of his candy and he gave me the packet of Pistachio nuts. This kid has it figured out! They had so much fun and did great going from house to house.
Cindy goes all out! This is the spread of treats including mice eating cheese sticks, spiders made out of snowballs, green jello with licorice coming out of it and other things I couldn't identify but they looked really scary. The kids loved it! And that's Shane's sweet grandmother Prissy Mama in the picture.
This was the start of the "eat a donut on a string game". They were supposed to put their arms behind their back, close their eyes and try to eat the hanging donuts.
There's Bennett doing his best with eyes closed and hands behind his back. Noah is observing!
Then Noah decides he has a better way - he just grabs the donut with his hands and stuffs the whole thing in his mouth!
Then it was time to bob for apples. Bennett was not so sure about sticking his mouth down in there!
Once again, Noah just reached in with his hands, pulled out an apple and took a bite. He's not sure what's so tough about all of these games!
Heading out to trick or treat!
Our first house - let the fun begin!
As promised, a picture of "Scary Pumpkin", who we decided looked more like "Worried Pumpkin"
