I did it!!! Today is day 90 and I just completed reading the entire Bible since January 1. What an amazing, challenging, frustrating, encouraging and life changing experience. I am thrilled to have met a goal of mine but much more than that, I am encouraged by how the Lord has touched my heart over the past three months. He has stirred desires in my heart that have been there but buried for a long time. I am excited to have a consistent time I spend with Him each day and look forward to what I will study next. Plus I am glad to be able to slow up a little on reading and begin to spend more time in prayer. That's not easy for me but I know I can do it and trust that God will bring me through that undertaking as he has for my readings. I am excited to see how the Lord is going to work through me from here as I am challenged to throw off some of my conventional views of my life, choices and of God, to have my children in the Word more, to take him up on his challenge to care for orphans and the fatherless, to practice more hospitality and giving of myself unselfishly, and just to live a life more Christ centered and less Kristin centered.
The group I did this with was completely online, made up mostly of bloggers. We commented on blogs and chatted on twitter. There are also live groups in churches across the country. The online community will begin again with this process around July 1 through
http://www.momstoolbox.com/blog/ (check me out on the list of "grads' on the right!). Also, the official site is
http://www.biblein90days.org/ if you'd like more information about the process or Ted Cooper the founder.
I don't know if I will do this again as soon as July 1 but I would totally recommend it and do hope to do it again if not this summer, maybe at the start of the new year again next year. Let me know if you are interested in trying it. I'd love to talk to you about it.
This is an exciting day for me!! Hooray and praise God!!
