Bennett's Special Day

Last week during Spring Break, I got a chance to have some time alone with Bennett. We called it Bennett's Special Day. We dropped Noah off with my mom late one afternoon and our time began. He got to have a cookie at Publix and pizza for dinner (more rare at our house these days since Noah loves it but can't have wheat or dairy) which we ate outside on the deck together. He also got to do a puzzle between dinner & bath which is a treat and then had fun doing a bath on his own. He even got to stay up a little late doing extra pages in the "look book". The next morning we got up and headed to the McWane Center. He hasn't been there in a while and I figured he's getting older and would really enjoy it now. He loved digging for dinosaur bones and pressing his face & hands into that thing that leaves the impression (name of that thing, anyone?). Luckily we got there right when it opened and got to do those by ourselves pretty much. When we returned later in the day, there was no room for Bennett at either exhibit. Also on the favorites list was playing mechanic and changing tires on the car and replacing the muffler. We did that for a really long time. Below is a video at the water table, just so you can see how excited he was there. And then there's a slide show with the pics from the day. What a sweet boy & a blessing to get to spend that time with him!
